![]() ![]() Sorry for an off-topic discussion - I was merely referring to usability and such - like this matter that you cannot create an empty text file with right mouse button - and they keep on arguing that this is the correct behavior in Ubuntu. or perhaps our companies still I didn't mean that Kubuntu would do you any good compared to Ubuntu in regard to this thread - at least, I have no indication that it would. Also, in reality, many problems are common with VMware Workstation Pro, even if we don't have those licenses. VMware Workstation Player is NOT freeware - I have bought many licenses for it. It is a pity that the problems here do not end up for VMware to analyze - seems that way anyhow. Kubuntu is a bit old-fashioned, but it just works nicely. I think it was the first TRULY different and innotative approach to desktop - very functional, fast and easy in comparison to anything, if you just understood it. there was SO much trash talk about it, when it came out. Unity-desktop was VERY good, but they haven't had the courage to keep it like it was (since 12.04, I think, talking about LTS-versions). There are far too many inconsistencies with Ubuntu nowadays. I guess "metacity" or something would give you access to modifications and try-outs, not sure though, please google.Īs for ditching - I have ditched Ubuntu and using Kubuntu. ![]() In Windows, the solution to problems like this, would be to create an other profile, that is another user. Probably it is easy to fix, if you can just find out how. ![]() I have had it on a physical computer as well, a couple of times, once didn't get a solution. As for Ubuntu desktop half-way disappearing, I don't think it is related to virtualization at all. ![]()
